Today we have the privilege of sharing an early stream of “Ànima D’Acer” the latest featured track taken from Barcelona, Spain-based death/doom metal trio BOCC‘s sophomore full-length album ‘Demolarium‘. On a fairly prolific spree since 2019 these folks’ve developed their own earthquaking take on death metal heavily inflected by doom, sludge and punk towards an ideal they’ve best realized on this second full-length. Heady in its buzzing immerse but punching along with an ‘old school’ death entrenched kick it’d be fair to set the band’s sound nearby stuff like Coffins, Ilsa, and Thra where chunkier production values and a cavernous trudge make for a real tank of an experience, uncomplicated get sublime in its steady rolling groove.
Today we’re taking a first look at album closer “Ànima D’Acer”, the shortest song on the record but also one of the most immediate in its slow scaling doom-punk groove. Barcelona-based death-doom outfit BOCC are set to unleash their second full-length album, “Demolarium”, on September 11, 2026 via Night Terrors Records.
Formed in 2019 in Catalonia, BOCC have carved their own path through the underground with a crushing and uncompromising blend of death metal, funeral doom weight, sludge hostility and crust punk aggression. Their sound captures the raw spirit of extreme music at its most authentic: bleak, filthy and deeply rooted in the traditions of the underground.
“Demolarium” is a record built on density and decay, where the suffocating slow-motion devastation of death-doom collides with the rough edges and confrontational energy of punk. A harsh and visceral journey that carries the feeling of a live rehearsal room rather than a polished studio product – a testament to the band’s commitment to keeping their music direct, heavy and real.
BOCC’s lyrics, entirely written and performed in Catalan, move away from conventional extreme metal themes, drawing instead from the history, folklore, myths and macabre events of Catalonia and Barcelona. Their music reflects a deep connection with their roots, while also standing firmly within the anti-fascist movement that has shaped their identity since the beginning.
For fans of Coffins, Grief, Autopsy, Winter, Fistula, Cianide and Eyehategod, “Demolarium” delivers a bleak and punishing vision where death metal brutality meets the hopeless weight of doom and the raw spirit of crust.
Night Terrors Records will release the album on colored and black vinyl editions, accompanied by a limited edition fanzine entirely dedicated to BOCC, continuing the label’s tradition of celebrating the artists beyond the music itself.
BOCC will also bring their crushing live assault to CastellHell Reborns in Spain in October 2026, sharing the stage with acts including Dead Congregation, Galvanizer, Benighted and Cerebral Curse.
