An Early Stream of “Dreadful Seizures” from MEPHITIC GRAVE ‘Dreadful Seizures’ LP (2024)PREMIERE

Today we have the privilege of sharing an early stream of “Dreadful Seizures” the second preview song and title track from ‘Dreadful Seizures‘ the sophomore full-length album from Hungarian death metal quartet MEPHITIC GRAVE. Formed back in 2018 and inspired by the sepulchral and Lovecraftian origins of early Finnish and United States death metal these folks have found even more solid footing on this wrathful and remarkably authentic second LP. Our focus today is upon the fifth piece, the centerpiece and (again) title track which does well to represent their grasp of the evil, shambling death metal riff(s) and morbid atmosphere as the first half of the LP closes. “Dreadful Seizures” is just one horrified glimpse of this well-rounded but never overwrought album.

Thanks goes out to Mephitic Grave and Memento Mori for the opportunity to share this song a bit early. Scroll down to the Bandcamp embed below to finalize your descent… As always, please do your best to support the death metal underground and grab a CD this coming January 22nd, 2024:

Bio and description:
Formed in 2018 by Zoli (guitars) and Balázs (drums), initially under the moniker Mothrot, it wasn’t after Knot (guitars) and Ádám (bass/vocals) joined the band that they morphed into MEPHITIC GRAVE and the Lovecraftian universe of cosmic horror based Death Metal welcomed a new entity. Their shared adoration of the classic Finndeath scene and the mighty ancient U.S. bands settled their musical approach: unrefined, sickening and miasmatic Death Metal that oozes viscous matter and is drenched in derangement. Their debut album, “Into the Atrium of Inhuman Morbidity”, put the band on the map of current, underground Death Metal in 2021. Since then, they’ve been working on new aural madness to dive deeper into the dreadful tones from beyond.
FFO: Abhorrence, Autopsy, Funebre, Grave, Obituary, Purtenance, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel…
