Today we have the privilege of sharing an early stream of “Exhumation of the Womb’s Splendour” the first preview song taken from ‘Nebulas of Self-Desecration‘ the debut full-length album from Santiago, Chile-based death metal quartet UTTERTOMB. Active since the late 2000’s in various forms and infamous in the occult underground for their dismal brutality and horrifying EP releases throughout the 2010’s they’ve breached the terror threshold and achieved something incredible with this debut LP. Our focus today is upon the album opener, “Exhumation of the Womb’s Splendour” a major vortex to kick off the record and an voluminous expanse which perfectly represents the volatile intensity and obsidian atmospheric cough which carries us through the wrathful course of the album. Through the void of death into truly surrealistic brutality this is merely the first step which takes us into the consuming portal beyond, our gateway to one of the finer death metal achievements to look forward to this year.
Thanks goes out to UTTERTOMB, Pulverised Records and their representation for the opportunity to share this song a bit early. Pulverised Records proudly presents the debut full-length album of Chilean Death Metallers UTTERTOMB!
The murky, viscous and vile-drenched of UTTERTOMB’s resonation is manifested on “Nebulas Of Self-Desecration”. Retching out eight tracks of pure Death Metal defilement, the album moves as if it is subterraneous in nature but opens into an abyss of deep dark-chasms. With an aura of anomalous and eldritch overtones encompassing the entire record, the extent of the otherworldly realm on “Nebulas Of Self-Desecration” is without doubt a monolith of immeasurability.
Recorded in different locations between DM6 Studio by Pablo Clares (Procession, Abrekadaver, Slaughtbbath, etc) and with mixing duties by Claudio Salinas at Maestro 3 Studio (Coffin Curse, Demoniac, Suppression, etc).
Mastering handled by Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony (Dismember, Occultation, Asphyx, etc).
Cover artwork by Serbian illustrator Khaos Diktator (Devourment, Fuming Mouth, Gaerea, etc).
